Requirements for UK Visa
Requirements for UK Visa – You must be a spouse, unmarried, or civil partner of the sponsor to qualify as a dependent. Children under the age of 18 may also accompany the sponsor to the UK, as they are dependents of the sponsor. Please note that if you are applying as a dependent to someone who is an EEA national, the children’s dependent age is 21 years.
As a dependent visa holder, you will have no source to public funds. Before your application is approved, you must demonstrate that your sponsor (in the UK the person you wish to depend on) has the necessary financial resources and is ready to assist you.
If your application for a dependent visa is successful you will be granted leave to enter the UK and the freedom to stay in the UK without any restrictions. There are no work restrictions imposed on dependency visa holders, which means you can work in any job, at any skill level.
Provided that you meet the relevant immigration regulations for this visa, you will be granted indefinite leave to remain in the UK. Dependency Visa holders can usually apply for British Naturalization as a UK citizen after having spent 5 years continuously in the UK.
