The requirements are the same as the spousal visa. However, this visa is only available to a maximum of 2 applicants. This means that it is not possible to get married in the UK and then apply for a family reunion visa.

The visa can last up to two years and can be extended more. You can apply under this category even if you are not living with a British partner or have been living separately for more than two years.
